Re: National Talent Search Scholarship Exam

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a National-Level Scholarship Program in India to Identify and Recognize Students with high intellect and academic talent.

The Examination Consists of 3 Sections, Namely
Mental Ability Test (MAT),
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
Language Comprehensive Test (LCT)

The Items in the MAT, LCT and SAT are multiple choice questions. Each question has four alternatives.

The Candidate has to select one correct answer from the alternatives.

The number of questions, maximum marks and time allowed are as follows:

1. Mental Ability Test (MAT) 50 50 45 Minutes
2. Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
a) Language Test
b) Sciences, Mathematics & Social Sciences 50 50 45 Minutes
100 100 90 Minutes

Award & Scholarship :

Scholarship of Rs 1250/- Per Month for class XI and XII
Scholarship of Rs 2000/- Per Month for Under Graduates and Post Graduates
Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D in accordance with UGC norms

Eligibility:


Student of Class 10 (this year) in current academic session

No domicile certificate required.

There is Quota of the various states.

Selection Procedure :

To sit in Stage – II examination of NTS, the cut -off marks will be 40% of marks. For reserved category, this cut-off mark will be 32%.

The Merit List will be prepared taking the total marks secured by the candidates.
