I have completed my B.Sc degree and want to do B.Sc training from National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) located in Manesar, Gurgaon. Will you tell me is NBRC offers any training course to B.Sc students if yes then tell me what the NBRC training costs?

M.Sc. (Neuroscience) Program offered by NBRC (National Brain Research Centre), Manesar is a two-year programme.

During 1st year, one has to go through an intensive course-work which provides them a firm grounding in molecular, systems, computational and cognitive neuroscience. Practical courses are also included for a hands-on experience with various techniques which are used in modern neuroscience research.

In the 2nd year, students select a lab to do a full time research project. One might be eligible to switch to the Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. programme of NBRC after successfully completing the requirements for the M.Sc. programme.

All the students are provided a fellowship of ₹ 12,000 per month (and HRA or hostel accommodation).

After that one has to appear for Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS). Selected candidates will be called for interview.


Eligibility


Bachelor degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer applications / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Psychology / Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized Institute / University.

One appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination is also eligible to apply.

At least 55% (50% for SC / ST / PH candidates) marks or an equivalent grade or grade point average from secondary (10th) examination onwards is required.

One should calculate the percentage up to two decimal points to determine their eligibility.

Only Indian nationals are eligible for the above programmes

Reservation / Concessions for SC / ST / PH candidates will be as per rules of Government of India / UGC.
