SBIRT is a comprehensive, integrated, public health approach to the delivery of early intervention and treatment services for persons with substance use disorders, as well as those who are at risk of developing these disorders


SBIRT is broadly recommended by multiple federal agencies, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), and all of the primary care physician groups


SBIRTH North Carolina

SBIRT has been implemented in North Carolina in a variety of medical settings including family medicine and internal medicine clinics, pediatric offices, emergency departments, and inpatient hospital units.
