National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Science (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai Have Jointly Announced the Schedule of National Entrance Screening Test

Age limit:

General and OBC category Candidates born on or after August 01, 1996 are eligible for admission to the integrated M.Sc. programme of NISER/CBS. T

Age Limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC / ST / PD Candidates.

Eligibility Criteria :

Candidates Having Higher Secondary Educational Qualification or Equivalent at least of 60% aggregate marks in qualifying examination and for SC/ST/PWD applicants the required marks percentile is 55%.

Examination Fee

Male (Gen and OBC categories) – Rs. 700/-
Male (SC and ST categories) – Rs. 350/-
Female (All categories) – Rs. 350/-
Persons with Physical Disability – Rs. 350/-

Exam Pattern

The question paper will have 5 sections.

All questions will be objective type MCQ types questions only.

Marks allotted for each section is 50.

Section I is assumed as the General section and it is compulsory for all students.

There is no negative marking system specified in this section.

Sections 2 through 5 will have questions from
Chemistry,
Biology,
Mathematics
Physics

There will be negative marking for incorrect answer in the subject sections.

Question paper language will be English only.
