Yes definitely after completion of Distance Learning MA from IGNOU applicants are eligible to appear in UGC NET Exam.

University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test directed by CBSE twice in a year for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the:

Award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and/or

Eligibility for Lectureship in Indian universities and colleges.

Eligibility:

Candidates must have completed Masters Degree from a recognised Universities with 55% marks in Computer Science & Applications, Arts, Social Sciences, Electronic Science etc.

Lectureship:
There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship eligibility.

Junior Research Fellowship:
The age limit for JRF is 28 years of age.
