Re: NET Exam Karnataka University

Karnatak University was established at Dharwad in the Indian state of Karnataka in October 1949.

Well The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) Center, University of Mysore, Mysore is a Nodal Agency recognized by the UGC and this center is also one of the Nodal centers in Karnataka for conducting UGC-NET examination twice a year.

KSET center, University of Mysore shall be conducting State Eligibility Test once in a year to make rigorous merit based selection for the entry level of teaching profession.

At present KSET having test in 32 streams at 11 Nodal Centers in the Karnataka .

NET Exam

Applicants who clear the National Eligibility Test (NET) will be eligible for vaccanices in the public sector undertakings (PSUs and could be utilise UGC-NET scores for the recruitment process of the posts of executives in their organisations.


You can work in the disciplines like science (R&D), management, corporate communications, human resources, finance, etc.

UGC NET Exam Pattern

The exam shall be conducted in three phases (one paper in each phase)

It will comprise of mainly objective type questions in two distinct sessions.

The first session will comprise of two phases - Paper I and II carrying 100 marks each.

Paper I will include 60 questions out of which 50 are to be attempted,

Paper II will include 50 questions (all compulsory).

The allotted time is 75 minutes per paper.

Second session will comprise of only one paper (Paper III) carrying 150 marks. Paper III will include 75 questions (all compulsory) for which, candidates will be allowed a maximum of 2.5 hours.
