Rohit Barla | IIT Madras MBA OBC Cut Off Hello can anyone please provide me the cut off marks list of CAT examination for OBC to get admission in the course of MBA in Engineering & Technology Management as I belong from the OBC and I want to get admission in the IIT Madras? The Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology IIT Madras uses the CAT score to short list applicants for group discussion and interview for admission in MBA program. The IIT Madras cutoff figures for its MBA program are determined on the basis of the applicants' number and scores. IIT Madras CAT cut-off 2016 95+ Percentile IIT Madras MBA Eligibility Criteria Graduates in any discipline with first class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) earned in their degree from a recognized/reputed University For Defence personnel the minimum percentage of marks in qualifying degree will be 55%. For other categories relaxation according to GOI norms will apply. Final year students are also eligible to apply. Regular Candidates Regular candidates should possess a valid score in the Common Admissions Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management. IIT Graduates who obtain a CGPA of 8 and above on 10 are exempted from CAT score. Their shortlisting will be based on a composite score with due weights to applicant’s CAT score, past academic performance, industry experience and gender. Sponsored Candidates This category is of two types: a) Company Sponsored Candidates Candidates may be sponsored by their employers to pursue an MBA at IIT Madras. Candidates should forward their application through proper channel. They must have a minimum work experience of two years in the sponsoring organization and a valid CAT Score. b) Indian Defense Personnel Defense personnel are exempted from the national level entrance test. Candidates who are working with the Defense forces are encouraged to apply through respective government agencies. Non-Resident Indian and Foreign Nationals Short listing for this category shall be on the basis of GMAT score Past academic performance Letters of reference and Work experience, if any Selection Procedure- Candidates from all categories short listed based on the composite score shall be called for a personal interview to a given location (except NRIs and Foreign Nationals). The final selection for all categories except NRIs and Foreign Nationals will be based on the following: Performance in group task, written communication and personal interview Composite score obtained by the candidate as explained earlier.
