The NIT MCA Common Entrance Test NIMCET exam is a national level entrance exam conducted by National Institutes of Technology, Agartala for admissions in MCA programme offered by all NITs of the country.

Admissions in MCA course of NITs will be given on the basis of ranks scored by them in the NIMCET exam.

NIMCET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should hold a degree of minimum three years (B.Sc /B.Sc (Hons)/BCA/BIT) or BE / B.Tech or equivalent exam from a recognized university.

Candidates must have scored minimum 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA (for general candidates) and 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA (for SC, ST candidates) on a 10 point scales in the qualifying examination.

Candidates appearing in qualifying exam are also eligible to apply but they have to submit the proof of appearing at the time of counselling/admission.

Aspirants who have passed their degree from open universities are also eligible to apply.

NIMCET Exam Pattern

The exam duration will be 2 hours (120 minutes).

The question paper language will be English only.

The question paper will comprises of total 120 objective type questions.

Total four marks will be provided for each correct response.

One mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
