The Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences in no time NIMS is an Institute under State Legislature Act in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is built up under the Act of Andhra Pradesh State Legislature.It has grounds in Punjagutta and Bibinagar.

The Nizam's Charitable Trust in 1961 considered beginning a claim to fame Hospital for orthopedic patients with an underlying venture of Rs. 55 Lakhs. The establishment stone was laid on 16 July 1961 by Sri Morarji Desai, Minister for Finance, Government of India.

The Nizam's Orthopedic Hospital was introduced by Sri S. K. Patil, Union Minister for Railways and was announced open by Her Highness, the Princess of Berar on 22 December 1964.

The Trust gave over the healing center to the Government of Andhra Pradesh on 13 February 1976 under a 99-year rent assention for which the trust gets rs 1 every year. The healing center was renamed as Nizam's Institute of Orthopedics and Specialities (NIOS).
