Department of Chemistry was begun since the initiation of the Institute, 1965. It has adequate framework to run the under graduate and post graduate courses.

Employees of the Department are effectively occupied with both instructing and Research work. The division additionally gives the hypothetical and research center courses of Engineering Chemistry to first, second semesters of designing students (B.Tech) and Physical Chemistry to the fourth semester building students of Chemical branch.

The department likewise offers five years BS-MS double degree program in Chemistry. Alongside the B.Tech classes, PhD and MSc. program is additionally offered by the office. Foundation Post doctoral cooperations will be given to the individuals who will do examine work subsequent to doing PhD.

The department has outstanding facilities in terms of class rooms, UG laboratories, faculty cabin as well as research laboratory space.
