National Institute of Technology Delhi (NITD) is one of the thirty NIT (s) built up in the year 2010 by a demonstration of parliament and has been announced as an Institute of National significance.

NIT Delhi is a self-governing Institute which works under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It plans to give directions and research offices in different controls of Engineering, Science and Technology, Management, Social Sciences and Humanities for propel learning and scattering of information.

NIT Delhi has begun its scholastic session in 2010 with three undergrad B.Tech degree programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The scholastic exercises of NIT Delhi were started at NIT Warangal in year 2010 which later moved to a transitory grounds at Dwarka, New Delhi in June 2012 and now as of now running at IAMR Campus, Narela (February 2014).

As of 22nd February 2017 National Institute of Technology Delhi (NITD) does not offer an Master of Business Administration programme.

Academic Programs in progress at NIT Delhi:

From scholastic year 2013-14 the admission in every B. Tech program has been expanded to quality of 60 understudies. M.Tech program in the train of Electronics and Communication Engineering with an admission of 15 understudies was presented from the scholastic year 2013-14 took after by Ph.D. program which has begun from January 2014 with admission of seven research researchers and M.Tech Program in Computer Science and Engineering (Analytics) with an admission of 15 understudies is yet to begin for Academic year 2014-15.

Confirmation for B.Tech projects are made on the premise of the execution in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for the Indian Nationals. Admissions to half of the seats are made among the understudies of Delhi and Chandigarh and the staying half seats are made on the premise of All India positioning of the yearning candidates. Admissions to the M.Tech Programs are made on the premise of execution in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).
