Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, is a National Law University located in Patiala, Punjab, India. It was established in 2006 by the Punjab Government as a university dedicated to the field of Legal Education As you asking for the Moot Court Committee of the Rajiv Gandhi National Law university the information about the Moot Court Committee of the Rajiv Gandhi National Law university is as follow : AIIMS and objective of the Moot Court Committee further academic excellence in the student community, and to develop their advocacy skills To inculcate in the student community the capacity to objectively assess the facts, apply relevant principles of law and legislation and bring out reasons and arguments to justify ones stand; and To instil the spirit of professionalism, leadership and a strong desire for acquiring legal knowledge Working Areas of the Moot Court Committee Following provisions shall govern the general working of the RMCC: 1. The RMCC shall be responsible for administering and supervising all the National, International as well as Intra University Moot Courts/ Client counselling/Trial Advocacy along with other related events. a) Detailed rules and regulations for each event in an academic year shall be determined by the RMCC. b) The RMCC may constitute sub-committees comprising of volunteers for organising events. In no circumstances the volunteers shall be considered as official members of the RMCC. 2. The RMCC shall be responsible for administering and supervising the participation of students representing the University in various National as well as International Moot Courts/ Client counselling/Trial Advocacy along with other related events. a) Detailed rules and regulations concerning the selection for, and representation of students in, competitions in an academic year shall be determined by the RMCC, with approval of faculty in charge. b) The RMCC shall notify all the students of such competitions. The procedure for selection and representation shall be as per the RMCC allotment rules. c) The RMCC may conduct challengers apart from Intra Moot Court competition, if necessary, for selecting the students to represent the University in such competitions.
