NMIMS Grading System

Hi I would like to have the information about the grading system which is followed by the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS)?

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) is a private college situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The organization was built up in 1981 by the guardian body Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal. It has been granted "Five Star" rating and "An" evaluation by the NAAC and UGC separately.

The foundation was allowed "Considered University" status by the UGC in 2003 and can thus grant full scholarly degrees to its understudies.

For evaluating reason, the weightage specified by the workforce in the course blueprint will be connected for each segment of assessment independent of the imprints allotted to the said part for the examination.

Grading System
The school follows the following ‘letter grades’ and corresponding ‘grade points’ system:
Grade Grade Point

A+ 4.00

A 3.75

A- 3.50

B+ 3.25

B 3.00

B- 2.75

C+ 2.50

C 2.25

C- 2.00

F 0.00
Technique for count of letter evaluations and GPA/CGPA

For the estimation of evaluations, the accompanying rules are watched

(i) Highest imprints scored by an understudy/s for a course/subject will be considered for the cluster/ group (if there should be an occurrence of electives).

(ii) Difference between the most extreme imprints and 50 imprints would be figured.

(iii) The said distinction will be similarly separated into sections of nine letter grades (i.e. A+, An, and A-, B+, B furthermore, B-and C+, C and C-)

(iv) Grading will be done on the premise of imprints acquired by an understudy in every course/subject which will be fitted into the above sections of letter evaluations

(v) "F" evaluation will be doled out to understudies

a) Who have gotten checks under half of total.

b) Who have gotten short of what 33% imprints out of the most extreme imprints assigned to the separate subject for the term end examination

c) Who have gotten short of what 33% imprints out of the most extreme imprints apportioned to the particular subject for the inward ceaseless evaluation

(vi) if there should be an occurrence of elective courses, the quantity of understudies for individual course/subject would be considered with the end goal of allotting evaluations for that course.
