Hey!!! National Medical Library is a part of the Directorate General of Health Services which is an attached office of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. NML aims to provide wide and efficient library and information services to the health science (HS) professionals in India. It functions under the administrative control of the Directorate General of Health Services. The library is organised into following functional units: -Book Acquisition -Periodical Subscription -Technical Processing of Documents -Documentation and Reference Service -MEDLARS Services (including CD-ROM and internet based services) -Photocopying Service -Binding Section Regional Libraries NML has set up a network of health science libraries in India. It has with the support from WHO, Identified followed 6 Regional (RML) and 8 Resource Medical Libraries (RL) in the country: Regional Medical Libraries (6) -SMS Medical Collage, Jaipur (North) -Grant Medical College, Mumbai (West) -Institute of Medical Science, BHU, Varanasi (Central) -T.N. Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai (South) -All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, Calcutta (East) -Regional Medical Institute, Imphal (Northeast) Resource Libraries (8) -B J Medical Collage, Ahemdabad -M G Institute of Medical Science, Wardha -Govt.
