No, MCAT Exam scores is not required for admission in the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University Admission Requirements Grade Point Average Undergraduate GPA: 3.5 Average Postbac GPA for Admitted Students: 3.8* *No formal GPA requirement exists. MCAT MCAT scores are not required. Coursework Biochemistry (this is satisfied by taking Contemporary Biology (BIOL UN2401-2401). The organic chemistry lab is not required. No grade of D or lower on academic record. Additional Requirements Became interested in medicine as a career after college; Have been engaged in activities other than formal education between college and the present; Are Rhode Island residents; Are members of groups traditionally underrepresented in medicine; and Are age 25 or older. In the last five years, almost every applicant who has been offered admission through the PB route has presented a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) in PB coursework. The mean PB and undergraduate GPAs for these candidates have been 3.8 and 3.6, respectively.
