NEET will be conducted by CBSE in a pen and paper based mode on May 7, 2017.

The NEET is the single entrance test conducted for admissions to approximately 52,305 MBBS and BDS seats in India.

NEET has replaced All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) as well as all state level medical entrance tests and will now enable admission to all government, private and deemed medical and dental colleges/ universities across the country.

There are about 426 medical colleges and 303 dental colleges under NEET-UG, most of them are private colleges.

Total 53,455 MBBS seats are available in 426 medical colleges and 25,900 BDS seats in 303 dental colleges.

Overall 79,355 (MBBS+BDS) candidates will only get admission out of approx. 4 lakhs qualified candidates. Under 15% AIQ there are total 5698 (MBBS+BDS) seats, out of which nearly 4,000 seats are of MBBS.
