Eligibility
Condition of eligibility:
Master Degree in concerned subject with at least 55% (50% in the case of SC/ST/PH candidates) from any University recognized by the U.G.C.

Exemption:
A candidate who has passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR / GATE / Teacher Fellowship or M. Phil. or Uttar Pradesh State Level Eligibility Test (UPSLET) conducted by appropriate authority or any other test conducted by any institution approved by UGC will be exempted from appearing in the Eligibility Test.

But, such candidates shall be required to submit their application for Ph.D. study along with the prescribed fee of Rs.1100/- on or before the last date mentioned in this advertisement. Otherwise, they will not be considered for the admission.

Scheme and Syllabus:
The test shall consist of the requirement of proficiency and skill in 'Research Aptitude', General Awareness and the 'Knowledge of the Concerned Subject'.

Paper Style of Written Test:
The 'Entrance Test' shall consist of two papers; all the questions will be asked in the form of multiple choice types of questions. The details are as under:

Paper I: Total number of questions will be 50 divided into two parts, and the total time given will be 01 Hr. Part ‘A’ will contain 30 questions from General and Current Affairs and Part ‘B’ will contain 20 questions from Research Aptitude.

All questions will be compulsory and there will be no negative marking. Each Question carries 01 Marks.

Paper II: Total number of questions will be 30 based on Subject Knowledge (up to Master Level Course in the relevant subject).

The total time given will be one hour. Each Question carries 01 Marks.
