The ISAT Exam of Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is now replaced by the JEE Advanced.

The admissions at IIST will be done only on the basis of JEE Advanced scores

Admissions are provided for Aerospace Engineering, Avionics Engineering and 5-year Dual Degree (B.Tech and M.S./M.Tech) programme for qualifying candidates.

The Online registration for IIST B.Tech Admission 2017 was held from June 1, 2017 to June 15, 2017

IIST B.Tech 2017 Eligibility Criteria

candidates should have obtained at least 75% marks in aggregate in Class XII (or equivalent) board examination.

For SC, ST and PD candidates, the eligibility criteria in class 12th is at least 65% in aggregate.

Candidates belonging to General category and Other Backward Classes (OBC) are required to be born on or after October 1, 1992, while Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST)/Persons with Disabilities (PD) candidates are required to be born on or after October 1, 1987.

Only Indian citizens are considered eligible to apply

It’s mandatory for aspirants to take JEE Advanced 2017 for IIST B.Tech Admission 2017.

For taking JEE Advanced 2017, the candidates are also required to take JEE Main 2017, without which the candidates can not take the second level exam – JEE Advanced 2017.

Candidates need to secure the minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE Advanced 2017 as given below:

General Candidates need to obtain at least 20% aggregate marks and at least 5% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics individually.

Other Backward Community – Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) candidates must secure at least 18% aggregate marks and 4.5% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics individually.

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste(SC), Scheduled Tribe(ST) & Persons with Disabilities(PD) categories should obtain at least 10% aggregate marks and at least 2.5% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics individually.

Male Candidates: Rs.600 (Gen & OBC-NL)

Female Candidates: Rs.300 (Gen & OBC-NL)

SC/ST/PD Candidates: Rs.300
