National School of Drama (NSD) is a theatre training institute situated at New Delhi, India. It was established in 1959 by the Sangeet Natak Akademi. It is an autonomous organization under Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

National School of Drama Delhi Admission 2016

National School of Drama, New Delhi invites application for admission in Three Years Diploma Course in Dramatic Arts 2016 – 2019.

Eligibility -

Graduation in any subject from a recognized university in India or abroad

Participation in at least 6 theatre productions

Working knowledge of Hindi and English

Age Limit :

As on 1st July, 2016 Minimum 20 years maximum 30 years.

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST candidates only.

Selection Procedure

An expert committee constituted by the School will assess the aptitude and talent of the candidates and its decision will be final.

Any CANVASSING in this regard will be treated as a disqualification.

Center for Preliminary Test / Audition and Final Workshop :

A preliminary test / audition will be conducted at six centres i.e

Guwahathi – 13th June, 2016
Kolkata – 15th & 16th June, 2016
Lucknow – 18th & 19th June, 2016
Chandigarh – 21st June, 2016
Bhopal – 23rd June, 2016
Mumbai – 25th to 27th June, 2016
Bengaluru – 29th June, 2016
Delhi – 1st July, 2016 to 4th July, 2016

The candidates qualifying in this test will have to attend a workshop of 5 days in the NSD premises from 10th July, 2016 to 14th July, 2016.

The NSD application form and prospectus will be available from the Book Shop of the National School of the Drama from 5th May, 2016 to 30th May, 2016 on cash payment of 150/- between 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM & 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on
working days.
