Can you tell me in detail about the Technical Theatre Workshop at Kurukshetra organized by NSD or National School of Drama in collaboration with Haryana Kala Parishad in May 2016?

The National School of Drama is one of the foremost theatre training institutions in the world and the only one of its kind in India. It was set up by the Sangeet Natak Akademi as one of its constituent units in 1959.

National School of Drama in collaboration with Haryana Kala Parishad is organizing a 30 days intensive workshop on Theatre Design and Techniques at Multi Art Cultural Centre, Kurukshetra (Haryana) from 20th May 2016 to 19th June 2016.

The workshop is being led by Prof. Ashok Sagar Bhagat a reputed and celebrated theatre designer; Prof. Waman Kendre; Prof. Tripurari Sharma; Shri. Jayant Deshmukh; Shri Hemant Bhatnagar; Ms. Kriti V. Sharma; Shri Nareshkhare; Shri S. Manoharan; Shri Arun Malik; have consented to be the resource persons.

Candidates from Haryana, and other adjoining states having completed their graduation in any stream and having participated at least in two plays are eligible for the aforesaid theatre workshop. There is no fee for joining the workshop.

Lodging will be arranged Haryana Kala Parishad free of any cost, but the individual may have to contribute towards his daily meals as per arraignments of Haryana Kala Parishad.

Those who wish to join the workshop, may please submit their resume along with two passport size Photographs. Please mention the Mobil number of two persons who have seen one’s works and are known names in the field of theatre.

The selection will be done on bases of Resume and your reference.
