Can you tell me about the eligibility requirements for MBBS & BDS Courses for admission in NTRUHS or Dr. NTR University of Health Science? The Rank in Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is the basis for the selection into MBBS and BDS Courses in NTRUHS or Dr. NTR University of Health Science. The admissions into the colleges are subject to the permission by the Government of India / Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India. The eligibility requirements for MBBS & BDS Courses for admission in NTRUHS or Dr. NTR University of Health Science are as follows: Eligibility: Nationality and Domicile: One should be Indian Nationals or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holders should satisfy the Local or Nonlocal status in Andhra Pradesh (Residence requirement) as laid down in Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions Order, 1974 and the selection is done as per the procedure laid down in the G.O.P.No.646, dated 10.07.1979 as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Department, dated 18.05.2009. Educational Qualifications: One should have passed two years Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained not less than 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) / Bio-technology. In respect of one belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes and the Backward Classes the marks obtained is minimum of 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Bio-technology. As per G.O.Ms No.195 & 197, HM & FW (E1) Department, dt.07.07.2011, and as per MCI guide lines the OC-PH candidates obtained minimum 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Bio-technology. One should have qualified at EAMCET and scored minimum 50% of marks (for BC, SC and ST candidates 40%) taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Bio-technology are eligible for admission into MBBS and BDS courses and they fulfill other relevant conditions laid down in these regulations as per MCI guide lines OC – PH candidates scored minimum 45% of marks One having qualification of the University / Board or an institution outside the State should enclose a Eligibility / Equivalence certificate from the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad to the effect that the qualification possessed is equivalent to or higher than Intermediate exam conducted by the Board of Intermediate of Andhra Pradesh Age: Minimum age: Should have completed the age of 17 years Age shall be calculated on the basis of date of birth as indicated in the Secondary School Certificate exam or equivalent exam.
