Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, formerly Andhra Pradesh University of Health Sciences, is a public university in the city of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is named after its founder, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao.

For Seat Allotment

The candidate shall satisfy Local / Non local status as per GO.No.646 Edu.(W1)departmentdated 10-07-1979 and Presidential order. The procedure indicated in the above G.O for selection of candidates as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated 18-05-2009 shall be followed.

The Non local candidates do not have any reservations.
The Non local candidates are eligible for
15% unreserved seats only.
The local candidates are also eligible for 15% unreserved seats.
If the candidate is having a Medical qualification equivalent to MBBS (Primary Medical qualification)from out side India, the Degree should have been recognized by Medical Council of India forenrolment as Medical Practitioner in the Country.
Candidate must have permanent registration with Medical Council of India / any State MedicalCouncil and attested copies should be furnished / enclosed to the application.


Candidates must pay equivalency verification / certificate verification fee as specified in theregulations along with the registration fee. The verification fee and registration fee once paid will notbe refunded or adjusted to further entrance examinations.

Therefore candidates are advised tomarks in the foreign Degree shall be considered as 50% only for all purpose
