Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha was conceptualized the Indian Nuclear Programme and along with some Scientists initiated the nuclear science research in India in March, 1944.

Nuclear medicine techniques make use of radiation emitted by radioisotopes. Detecting these emissions and transforming them into images is the basis of nuclear medicine techniques.
