And the Date of GATE 2016 Exam is January 30th to Feb 7th 2016

Academic Qualification:
Candidates must have passed their respective qualifying degree with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

Unreserved(General)
(except Drill./Cementing): 30 years
For Drilling/Cementing: 28 years

OBC
(except Drill./Cementing): 33 years
For Drilling/Cementing: 31 years

SC/ST
(except Drill./Cementing): 35 years
For Drilling/Cementing: 33 years

Persons with Disabilities
(except Drill./Cementing): 40 years (further relaxed by 3yrs with Disabilities(PWD) for OBC and 5yrs for SC/ST)
For Drilling/Cementing: Not Applicable

Ex-servicemen
(except Drill./Cementing): 35 years
For Drilling/Cementing: 33 years


Selection process:

Selection will be done on the basis of GATE 2016 scores followed by a personal interview.

The weightage for a total of 100 marks will be as follows:

-GATE-2016 Score 60 Marks

-Interview 15 Marks

-Academic Qualification 25 Marks (20 marks for essential qualification and upto 5 marks for inline higher qualifications)
