Eligibility requirements for ONGC ‘Graduate Trainee’ Selection Test:

Qualification :

Candidates are required to have a minimum of 60% marks in qualifying examination.

Qualifying examination:

For Reservoir Department :

Candidates must have completed post graduation in :
Geology
Chemistry
Geophysics
Mathematics
Petroleum Technology

For Chemistry Department :
Graduation in chemical engineering or
Masters’ degree in Chemistry .

For Chemistry Department :
Graduation in chemical engineering or
Masters’ degree in Chemistr.

For Programming Department :
Graduates in Computer Engineering or
post graduation in Computer science/ Computer Applications

Fo r Production Department:
Chemical/ Petroleum or Mechanical Engineers .

For Drilling/ Cementing Department :
Graduation in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering

For Mechanical Department:
Graduation in Mechanical Engineering .

For Electrical Department:
B.Tech/ B E in Electrical Engineering degree.

For Electronics and Telecommunications Department:
Engineering Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications or
Post graduation in Physics with Electronics

For Instrumentation Department:
Graduation in Instrumentation Engineering is required.

For Civil Department:
B E or B.Tech in Civil Engineers

For Transport Department:

Graduation in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering degree .

For Finance and Accounts Department:
Graduation in any discipline with CA or ICWA is a must.

For Human Resources Department:
MBA with specialization in Human Resources
or Post Graduation in Industrial Relations/ Personnel Management/ Labour Welfare .
