Hello, here I am providing you the procedure of filling the online application for the National Defence Academy as under:

About the academy:
The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the Joint Services academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services, the Army, the Navy and the Air Force train together before they go on to pre-commissioning training in their respective service academies.

Application procedure:
Log on to the website of UPSC
Click on Online Application of UPSC
Select the desired post & fill the Part I Online Application form by selecting the link.
Fill all the mandatory details and Submit.
After successful submission, a unique Registration ID will be generated
Make the fee payment
Select Part II Registration and Log in
Fill all the mandatory details in Part II of Application.
After submitting the application form, take print out of system generated application form for future

National Defence Academy: 320 Posts
Army: 208 Posts
Navy: 42 Posts
Air Force: 70 Posts

Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 55 Posts

Education required:
10+2

Important dates:
Starting Date to Apply Online 02-01-2016
Last Date to Apply Online 29-01-2016 by 11:59 P.M

I am planning to apply for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) NDA exam in Jan. Will you provide NDA JAN dates so I can apply also tell what the pattern of NDA Exam?

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the NDA exam every year in various cities across India.

NDA is a national level exam which is a gateway for the candidates seeking entry in Defence Forces like Army, Navy & Air Force. This exam is conducted two times in a year – NDA I & NDA II.

NDA JAN dates:

NDA I 2020:
Events Dates
Notification releases 8th January 2020
Application form available 8th January 2020
Submission of application form 28th January 2020
NDA I Exam date 19th April 2020

NDA II 2020:
Events Dates
Notification releases 10th June 2020
Application form available 10th June 2020
Submission of application form 30th June 2020
NDA II Exam date 6th September 2020

Qualification criteria:

For Army Wing: The applicants should have cleared their class 12th exam or its equivalent from a recognized board/ university.

For Air Force and Naval Wings and for 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy: Candidates who have cleared their class 12th exam with Physics, and Mathematics from a recognized board/ university are eligible.

Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply given that they clear the exam before the final selection.
Candidates appearing in class 11th exam are not eligible to apply.

Exam pattern:

There will be objective type questions asked in the examination.
The exam will be conducted in the pen and paper-based mode.
The question paper will be asked in the OMR pattern.
There will be two exams with Code 1 (Mathematics) and Code 2 (General ability test).
The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi languages.
The duration of the examination will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
Candidates will use a black ball pen to mark their answers.
Do not use Ink pen or pencil.

The medium of the exam will be set bilingually in English as well as Hindi.

For Math’s, 0.83 marks, for English, 1.33 and for GK 1.33 marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.
