As you requires I am here giving you detail about the Eligibility Criteria for IGNOU Distance MBA Entrance exam (OPENMAT) . IGNOU Distance MBA Entrance exam (OPENMAT) Eligibility Criteria Qualification: Graduate in any discipline Candidate must secure at least 50% marks in (general category) (Reserved category secure at least 45% marks for graduation.) 3 Years managerial or supervisory experience is also required (Experience after graduation). Or Candidate should have a professional degree in Medicine/ Engineering/ Accountancy/ Cost and Works Accountancy/ Law/ Company Secretaryship. Secure 50% marks for the degree. Eligibility for Foreign Students Must have a valid student Visa for the duration of the course. Candidate must have clearance from the Ministry of External Affairs/ Human Resource Development Ministry. Entrance Exam Pattern: There will be a total of 200 Multiple Choice Questions . Duration : 3 hours. Questions are divided into four sections. General Awareness: 30 Questions English Language: 50 Questions Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Questions Reasoning: 70 Questions There is no negative marking in the OPENMAT examination. Syllabus : General Awareness Current Affairs India: Constitution, Government, Laws, Famous People, Achievements, Organizations, History, Geography, Economy, Politics, States. World: Countries, Organizations, Leaders, World Economy, Summits. Science, Industry, Trade etc. English Language Reading and Comprehension: You will be asked to read passages and then answer the multiple choice questions based on the passage. Grammar: These questions would test your skills in English grammar. This section contains questions like fill in the blanks, sentence correction etc. Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms etc. Quantitative Aptitude This section tests your numerical and mathematics skills. The most frequent topics are: Algebra: Ratios and Proportions, LCM, HCF, Statistics: Mean, mode, median, Permutations, combinations, Progressions: Arithmetic Progression, Geometric Progression Geometry, Number Systems, Trigonometry etc. Reasoning This section checks your reasoning skills. The commonly asked topics are: Assertion and reasons, Assumption-Premise-Conclusion, Cause and Effect, Coding and decoding, Critical reasoning, Family tree, Statements and assumptions, Statements and conclusions, Symbol Based problems, Visual reasoning etc. |
