I would like to tell you about the Osmania University Bed Notification like Admission as well as Scheme of B.Ed. Entrance Test, as you want.


I. Admission
Applicants for admission to one year B.Ed. Course has to qualify at the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (EdCET) Conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh for that academic year.

The Applicants will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the entrance examination, keeping in view the rules in force in respect of the statutory reservation of seats under various categories of candidates.

II. Curriculum Transactions
The duration of B.Ed. Course will be of one year / 2 (two) semesters. Total number of working days / hours per session 210 days ( 1260 hours)

Number of days earmarked for Admissions 10 days (60 hours)

Number of days for Theory Examinations 10 days (60 hours)

Number of days for Final Practical Examinations (Methods) - 6 days (36 hours)

Number of days for Final Computer Education Practical Examinations - 3 days

Number of days for placing Practical Records before Moderation Board 1 day

Number of Teaching days including Teaching Practice work - 180 days (1080 hours)

Number of Teaching / Instructional days only 150 days (900 hours)

The overall weightage for Theory in 180 Teaching days - 50 % (90 days = 540 hours)

The overall weightage for practical component in 180 teaching days - 50% (90 days = 540 hours)

Scheme of B.Ed. Entrance Test:
The common entrance test will be of objective type with 100 multiple choice questions and of 90 minutes duration

Part-A
General English: 20 marks

Part-B
i) General Knowledge: 10 marks

ii) Teaching aptitude: 10 marks

(Part-A and Part-B is common for all the candidates irrespective of Methodology)

Part-C
Methodology:
Candidate has to choose one of the following subjects and it consists of 60 questions for 60 marks

i) Mathematics: 60 marks

ii) Physical Sciences: 60 marks
(Physics: 30 marks & Chemistry: 30 marks)

iii) Biological Sciences: 60 marks
(Botany: 30 marks & Zoology: 30 marks)

iv) Social Studies: 60 marks
(Geography: 20 marks, History: 20 marks, Civics: 10 marks & Economics: 10 marks)

v) Special English: 60 marks
