How to generate Online Shopping password (OSP) for IDBI Bank so will you please tell me?

Online Shopping password (OSP) is an additional step of authentication to secure and protect your e-commerce transactions initiated from external merchant websites.

It is a six-digit number which will be sent to your mobile number by way of a SMS.

This number is confidential and should not be disclosed or shared with anyone even if the person claims to be an IDBI Bank official.

You will have to generate the OSP before you initiate any e-commerce transaction on any merchant website, trading portal etc.

How will I generate an Online Shopping Password (OSP)?

Two simple ways to generate Online Shopping Password (OSP) are as follows:

Mode 1.

Login to your Net Banking account and click on 'Generate OSP for E-comm Txn' option available on the Home page as well as under 'Requests' menu, followed by entering your transaction password

OR

Mode 2.

Send an SMS from your registered mobile number to 5676777 with the following keyword:- GENOSP<space>Cust ID.

For e.g:- GENOSP 7123456

Note:- Messages sent to short code numbers (5676777) are charged at a higher rate than regular SMS rate.

You will receive the OSP by way of a SMS on your mobile number registered with the Bank.
