Re: Oswego SAT Scores
Oswego uses the SAT Math and Evidence Based Reading and Writing, as well as the ACT Composite as one of the several variables (high school courses, level of specific courses, grades, rank and supplemental information, among others) to predict college success. They look at the highest score from each section (even from different dates) to determine your SAT/ ACT score. For admissions and scholarship purposes they will consider the highest relative score from either the SAT or ACT. Either the SAT or the ACT is required for admission and will be used as part of the evaluation process. They have no firm cut-off score, and there is no number that ensures your acceptance. SAT scores are just one source of information about you -- not the only one. Average SAT: 1645 (New: 1160) The average SAT score composite at SUNY Oswego is a 1645 on the old 2400 SAT scale. On the new 1600 SAT, this corresponds to an average SAT score of 1160.
