National Institute of Rural Development is an Indian institute for research in rural development, located in Rajendranagar near Hyderabad. NIRD offers one year PGDRDM course.

Admission Process

Eligibility:

The minimum qualification for admission to the programme is Graduation in any discipline from any recognised University.

Those who are in the final year can also apply.

Selection of Candidates

All eligible candidates should appear for the Entrance Test

Test pattern

English Comprehension and Essay writing,
Verbal Ability,
Quantitative Ability,
Reasoning
Analytical Skills

The Entrance Test will be of about two and half hours duration.

The number of questions may range between 90 and 120.

Programme Fee and other Costs

Tution Fee

The Tuition Fee payable by the students is Rs 1.6 lakhs for Open / OBC Category and Rs 1.5 lakhs for SC/ST and PWD category.

Board and Lodging Charges

The annual board and lodging expenses will be Rs 1.0 lakh for Indian students.

Caution Deposit

A refundable Caution Deposit of Rs 10,000 towards Mess Deposit @ Rs 7,000; Library Deposit @ Rs 1,000 and Hostel Deposit @ Rs 2000 is a requirement.

Seat Registration Fee

Upon selection, a non-refundable Seat Registration Fee of 20,000 should be paid by the candidates

Other expenses
Students will bear the cost of books, stationery, toiletries
