Phd Programs-

1. Ph.D./M.Sc.(Engg.) by Research in the faculty of Engineering

2. Ph.D. in the faculty of Science*

3. Ph.D. in the faculty of Architecture

4. Ph.D. in the faculty of Management studies

PhD eligibility Criteria-

For Engineering disciplines-

Masters degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university with a CGPA of 6.75 out of 10

Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university with a CGPA of 7.75 out of 10 and should have published research papers in refereed journals or obtained patents.

Applicants with an M.Sc Engineering degree from a recognized university with CGPA of 7.75 out of 10 (70 percent minimum aggregate) are eligible to apply.
The candidate should have also published research papers in refereed journals or should have obtained patent files.

Candidates with an M.Tech degree from recognized university with a CGPA of 7.75 out of 10 (70 percent aggregate) with good research aptitude

Electrical Science

For Science disciplines-

Candidates with an M.Phil or M.Sc degree in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or any other such allied discipline are eligible to apply.

Minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 or aggregate of 60 percent marks at the bachelors degree or masters degree level.

For Computer Science-

Master of Computer Application (MCA) from a recognized university.
Minimum CGPA of 6.75 marks out of 10 (60 percent aggregate).

For Architectural disciplines-

Master degree in architecture or allied specializations from recognized university with a CGPA of 6.75 marks (minimum 60 percent) at either bachelors or masters level.

Candidates with a bachelors degree in Architecture or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university with a CGPA of 7.75 marks out of 10 (minimum 70 percent) with published research papers or filed/ obtained patents are eligible to apply.

Applicants with a bachelors degree in Architecture with 10 years or more of relevant teaching, research and professional practice are eligible to apply.

Candidates who have completed M.Arch at the university with a CGPA of 7.75 marks out of 10(70 percent) with good research aptitude are eligible to apply.

ULRAT Exam-

The university conducts ULRAT Exam for full time and part time PhD programs in Faculty of Science, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Computer Application, Faculty of Business Administration PhD/Master of Science.

Paper pattern of ULRAT Exam

•The question paper is of 100 marks.
•Objective type in nature with multiple choice questions.
•Sections of paper with marks
a)General Aptitude (20 marks)
b)Quantitative aptitude (30 marks)
c)Subject aptitude (50 marks)
