Physical Standards for Indian Air Force Pilot
I want to join Indian Air Force and for this I want to prepare for the entrance exam want details of joining IAF. Will you please tell me what the eligibility and Physical Standards required for joining as a Indian Air Force Pilot also tell me what other criteria major for IAF entry?

If you are willing to join the mighty Indian air force, then you must fulfill certain medical standards of India Air Force. Below we are mentioning the Height and Weight standards required for men and women to join Indian Air Force as an officer. The eligibility criteria for flying branch/Fighter pilot at Indian air force is different from technical and ground duty branches. Three main standards are: Age- 19 to 23 years (One should be 23 at the time of joining the academy.) Educational Qualifications: Graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level OR B.E. / B.Tech degree (Four year course) from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. Physical Standards: (i) Height and Weight: Minimum height : 162.5 cms with correlated weight, Leg Length : Min - 99 cms. Max - 120 cms.Thigh Length : Max - 64 cms.Sitting Height : Min - 81.5 cms. Max - 96 cms. (ii) Vision: (a) Minimum Visual Acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other, correctable to 6/6 only for hypermetropia. (b) Manifest Myopia - Nil. PHYSICAL TEST Some physical process for SSB exam .So you can prepare well about this. Jogging 3 to 5 kms interspersed with short sprints Skipping Push ups and sit up’s (minimum 20 each) Chin ups (minimum 8) Learn the art of swimming (Non-swimmers will be taught at the training Academy respectively) Those candidate are good in play Football, Hockey, Cricket, Basket ball, Kabadi etc are preferable. Ways to get into Air force as a Pilot:: NDA(National Defence Academy) Exam Eligibility:10+2 with age inbetween 16.5 to 19 years CDS(Combined Defence Academy) Exam Eligibility:You should be a graduate with physics & maths as compulsory subjects with age in between 19-23 years AFCAT(Air force Common Admission Test) Eligibility:You should be a graduate with physics & maths as compulsory subjects with age in between 19-23 years |
