SBI Fixed Deposit tenure starts from 7 days and goes till 10 years; special FD scheme to benefit the tax payers as per Sec 80 C (Income Tax Act, 1961); minimum deposit amount starts from Rs. 1000 with no upper limit; facility to deposit in bulk available (i.e. deposit above Rs. 2 crore) and extra 0.5% interest rates for senior citizens (individuals aged 60 years or more)
