To get better teaching jobs in government colleges you need to pass national eligibility test of UGC . UGC NET is conducted mainly to recruit research assistants and professors in various streams of education.

Basic Eligibility for UGC-NET
You have to passed a Master degree or equivalent in related subjects from a well recognized university and you must obtained a minimum of 55% (54.99% is not eligible)

Age limit :
-The candidates appearing for JRF should not be above 28 years of age.
-The candidates appearing only for lectureship have no upper age limit.
