Anna University will start Counselling of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission TNEA 2016 in June 2016 for the candidates seeking admission to Engineering courses at the colleges in the State.

For TNEA 2016 Counselling, candidates will be called on the basis of their Merit Ranks and they have to attend the Counselling in person as per the declared schedule.

The counselling will be held in various rounds separately for various candidate categories, including General Counselling and Counselling for Vocational Candidates.

TNEA 2016 Counselling Procedure:

Candidates, who have applied for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2016, will be called for the Counselling of TNEA 2016

The Merit List will be based on the normalization of the marks secured by the candidates in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in Class XII

Short listed candidates will get Call Letters for counselling with date, time slot and venue by post

Candidates must attend the Counselling in person.

The TNEA 2016 Counselling Schedule is according to the overall rank/community rank

TNEA 2016 Seat Allotment:

The TNEA Seat allotment will depend on the merit and reservation

Candidates can choose colleges and branches that are available on the day of counselling.

They have to pay the initial counselling deposit of Rs. 5000 (SC/ST Rs. 1000) by cash or by DD in favour of “The Secretary (TNEA), Anna University” payable at Chennai.

Marks Sheet of HSC / Equivalent / Diploma

Class X Marks Sheet

Transfer Certificate

Permanent Community Certificate Card for ST, SC, SCA, MBC&DNC, BC and BCM

Nativity Certificate (if applicable)

H. Sc. / Diploma Hall Ticket

First Graduate Certificate and First Graduate Joint Declaration (if applicable)
