Promotion In CAPF
I want to know the Promotion of Gazetted Officers in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) of CAPF? The promotions in Central Reserve Police Force CRPF are structured. Generally an Assistant Commandant may reach the rank of DIG or IG in a 20 year service. After training at the academy, Assistant Commandants complete their field training. They move to the rank of deputy commandant in five to six years. As Commandants they are in command of about 1000 men. Movement upwards to the position of DIG is dependent on selection, based on service records and vacancies. Promotional Avenue of Gazetted Officers After joining service as Asstt. Commandant the following promotional avenues are available to cadre officers:- Rank Qualifying service for Promotion Deputy Commandant 6 years as Assistant Commandant Second-In-Command 5 years as Dy.Commandant (with total 11 years Group ‘A’ service) Commandant 5 years as Second-In-Command (with 16 years Group ‘A’ service) DIGP 3 years as Commandant (with 20 years Group ‘A’ service) IGP 3 years as DIG (24 years Group ‘A’ service) Last edited by Neelurk; May 4th, 2020 at 12:36 PM. |
