The PTET (Pre Teachers Eligibility Test) is conducted for the eligibility required for the selection of candidates in the Bachelor of Education course in different government and government-aided colleges in Rajasthan.

Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur conducts Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET) for admission to B.Ed. Course in various Teacher Training Institutions in the State of Rajasthan.

Date of commencement for filling of the Online Application Form:- 04-04-2016

Last date of depositing Rs. 500/- through eMitra/CSC Kiosks:-24-04-2016

Date of closure for filling of the Online Application Form:- 25-04-2016

PTET 2016 Date:- 15-05-2016, 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM

Entrance Examination B.A.-B.Ed/B.Sc-B.Ed - 15-05-2016, 09:00 AM to 12:00 NOON

Syllabus

Section A:-

Mental ability Section shall consist of 50 objective type multiple choice questions to test the following abilities: (i) Reasoning, (ii) Imagination, (iii) Judgement & Decision Making, (iv) Creative Thinking, (v) Generalization, (vi) Drawing Inferences, etc.

Section B : Teaching Attitude and Aptitude test Section shall consist of 50 questions mainly on the following areas: (i) Social Maturity, (ii) Leadership, (iii) Professional Commitment, (iv) Interpersonal Relations, (v) Communication, (vi) Awareness etc. This will be test of attitudes and awareness in which answers to question will be scored on a scale of 3, 2, 1 and 0.

Section C: General awareness Section shall consist of 50 Objective type multiple choice questions mainly regarding the following areas: (i) Current affair (National & International), (ii) Indian History & Culture, (iii) India and its natural resources, (iv) Great Indian personalities (Past and Present), (v) Environmental awareness, (vi) Knowledge about Rajasthan etc.

Section D: Language Proficiency (English or Hindi) Section shall consists of 50 Objective type multiple choice questions regarding proficiency in Hindi or English Language mainly related to the following aspects: (i) Vocabulary, (ii) Functional Grammar, (iii) Sentence structures, (iv) Comprehension etc.

Paper Pattern of PTET (Pre Teachers Eligibility Test):

There will be a written test conducted based on the objective type and multiple choice based questions.

The Question Paper consists of 200 questions of 600 Marks on the following main sections:

1. Mental Ability (Imagination, Reasoning, Generalization, Decision Making, Inferences & Creative Thinking)

2. Teaching Aptitude (Leadership, Interpersonal Relations, Social Maturity, Communications, Professional Commitment, Awareness)

3. Language Proficiency (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension and Sentence Structures)

4. General Awareness (Indian Culture, National & International Current Affairs, Renowned Personalities, Rajasthan Culture & History, Environmental Awareness, India and Natural Resources)

Each section contains 50 questions on the above four sections.

The candidates will have to qualify in all the sections of the paper to finally clear the exam.

The minimum percentage of marks required in aggregate for clearing the PTET is 40% i.e. 240 Marks and enter into the merit list of the exam.
