Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar has implemented a centralised system of counselling for admissions to the degree level Engineering and Architecture courses.

PTU B.Tech Counselling Schedule 2016

There will be two rounds of counselling for PTU B.Tech 2016 Admissions.

The tentative schedule for counselling has been given below:

I. Schedule for Round 1 Counselling

Fee deposition dates: 1st week of June to 1st week of July 2016.

Online registration and locking of choices: Second week of July 2016

Results of the seat allotment process: Mid-July 2016

Dates for reporting and getting admitted to the allotted institute:
Third week of July 2016

II. Schedule for Round II Counselling

Fee deposition dates: 2nd week of July 2016

Online registration and choice filling for Round 2: Third week of July 2016

Results of Round 2 Seat Allotment: Fourth week of July 2016

Dates for reporting and getting admitted to the allotted institute: Fourth week of July 2016

PTU B.Tech 2016 Counselling Procedure

The counselling process will consist of the following stages:

1. PTU Centralized Counselling Fee Payment
Candidates, who wish to participate in the PTU centralised counselling for admissions to B.Tech courses, will have pay a counselling fee of Rs.2000.

2. Online Registration and Choice Filling
Now candidates can proceed to complete their registration and also exercise their college and programme choices.

3. Seat Allotment
On the basis of the JEE (Main) rank and the NATA scores of candidates, the University will compile a Merit List.

4. Reporting and getting admitted to the ‘Allotted Institute’
The final step of the PTU B.Tech 2016 Counselling procedure is to report to the allotted college/institute and complete all the necessary admission formalities and pay the balance fee.
