The Punjab Technical University offers regular as well as distance modes courses. PTU was established to promote technical, management and pharmaceutical education in the state of Punjab.

These courses are IT & Management, Hotel Management, Airlines, Tourism & Hospitality, Fashion Technologies, Media Technologies, Paramedical Technologies and Hospital Management etc.

The Punjab Technical university organizes the examination twice a year, it is the odd sem (1st,3rd, 5th, 7th) and even semester (2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th) Which was conducted in the month of Nov Dec and April May June (tentative).
