Activities of the Regional Employment Exchange, UT, Chandigarh

The Regional Employment Exchange is situated near office of the Punjab Mandi Karan Board (adjoining bridge) in Sector-17, Chandigarh.

It caters to the needs of the employers and applicants residing in the jurisdiction of U.T. Chandigarh.

The main functions of this Exchange are :-

To register applicants and sponsor them against notified vacancies;
To provide vocational guidance and employment counselling to the job seekers;
To collect information form the establishments in the organized sector under the Employment Market Information Programme of National Employment Service.

Vacancies allotment and Submissions of Candidates –

After the registration and getting the job notification through the department the candidates will call for the interview or for the written test (according to the firm / company rules and regulations).

The candidates can get the notification through their sponsored exchange office according to their education, age and eligibility.

The candidates get a call letter which they can receive before the seven days of interview / test schedule.

After that the applicants have to go in the exchange to appear the interview according to the given time and date on the interview letter.
