Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agriculture University was established in 1905 and is one of 65 agriculture universities in India. It is near Pusa Bazaar, in Samastipur District, Bihar.

It was originally established as India's first ever Imperial Agriculture Research Institute. On 11 May 2016 Parliament of India passed the Central University Bill so that RAU, Pusa has been up graded to central University and named as Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agriculture University.
