Qualification for Nursing Assistant in Indian Army
I have planned to join the Indian Army for the post of Nursing Assistant want to know about the education qualification for Nursing Assistant in Indian Army. Can you please provide me the eligibility criteria for this post and also tell me the process to check the latest notification online for this? Indian Army Soldier Nursing Assistants (M.E.R.) Examination is held four times a year and is advertised in the Employment News and leading newspapers. Eligibility: Unmarried male Indian citizens (including those of Nepal) are eligible. Educational Qualifications: Matriculation or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology Age Limits: 16 to 23 years. Physical Standards: Height: 167 cms, relaxable for certain regions Weight: 50 kg, relaxable for certain regions Chest: 77/82 cm Medical Standards One should have healthy physique and good mental health. Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cms expansion. One should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes. One should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye. Colour vision should be CP-III. One should recognize red and green colours. Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points. One should not have disease like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocle or piles. Application Procedure: Blank application forms are available free of cost at local Recruitment Offices, District Collector's Office, Zila Parishads and Employment Exchanges. One can send the application on plain paper, handwritten/typed but as per format. Selection Procedure: Paper I (Time: 45 minutes, Max Marks: 100) The eligible candidates are called for a written test in (i) General Intelligence (ii) Mathematical Aptitude (iii) General Knowledge Paper II (Time: 45 minutes Max. Marks: 100) In this about 50 marks questions on Chemistry and Physics and 50 marks questions on Biology are asked. In Chemistry section, there is stress on equations and numerical problems. Other Benefits: Free ration, clothing, accommodation and allied services, medical treatment for self and family, group housing scheme benefits, building loan facilities, canteen facilities, etc Promotion: One is recruited through the Indian Army Soldiers Nursing Assistants M.E.R Exam can become a Commissioned Officer subject to certain conditions.
