A project on anti-ragging awareness was sorted out for designing understudies of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), in co-appointment with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). Around 300 designing understudies went to the project. Dr G P Singh, Dean of Students Wing VNIT read out welcome location. Advocate P K Sathianathan clarified about the offense culpable under the procurement of Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999. In which conferring ragging was an offense culpable with two years of detainment and fine up to Rs 10,000. Senior Civil Judge and DLSA Secretary Kishore Jaiswal, recognized building understudies about ragging. He said it was an indefensible demonstration which is bad to anybody. Dr N S Chaudhari, Director of VNIT, while communicating with understudies of VNIT advised to approach their youngsters in a well disposed way and deny ragging. He educated to take after the affirmations documented by the understudies regardingAnti-Ragging Committee which was framed at VNIT. Vignesh Venkatachalam, Representative of Students Council, directed the system, while Dr D H Lahate, Vice Dean of Students Wing, proposed vote of much obliged. |
