RPMT Criteria

Can you please tell me eligibility criteria for RPMT exam with other exam details, so that I can go through it easily?

I would like to tell you that RPMT has bee replaced by National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and here I will get details of exam.

Exam pattern
Courses: It is held for MBBS/BDS courses.

Number of Questions: The question paper will contain total 180 multiple choice questions with single correct answer.

Subjects: The paper will be asked from subjects as Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany.

Language: The question paper will be available in 10 languages.

Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper based mode).

Duration: The exam duration will of 3 hours.

Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be awarded for each correct response.

Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer as negative marking.

Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria for 15% All India Quota Seats
Must be of Indian Nationality.

The applicant has to be minimum 17 years.

General category applicants have to be maximum 25 years

By a period of 5 years (30 years) the upper age limit of reserved categories is relaxed.

Educational Qualifications:
Candidate should have qualified 10+2 with PCMB and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course as prescribed by the NCERT.

Or the candidate should have passed B.Sc Examination of an Indian University with not less than 2 of the following subjects – Chemistry, Biology/Botany/Zoology, Physics and Biotechnology.

Marks Required:
General category candidates will have to secure at least 50% marks in P,C,B together in 10+2 examination while the Reserved category candidates will have to obtain 40% marks minimum.
