Santanu Bhattacharya (conceived 1957) is an Indian bioorganic scientist and an educator at the Indian Institute of Science. He is known for his investigations of unnatural amino acids, cyclic peptides and organically dynamic regular items and is a chosen individual of the Indian National Science Academy The World Academy of Sciences and the Indian Academy of Sciences] The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the peak organization of the Government of India for logical research, granted him the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, one of the most elevated Indian science grants, in 2003, for his commitments to synthetic sciences. Santanu Bhattacharya, conceived on the 23 April 1957 in the Indian condition of West Bengal, graduated in science (BSc hons) from Calcutta University and proceeded at the college to finish his graduate degree On his arrival to India, he joined the Indian Institute of Science where he filled in as a colleague educator (1991–96), relate teacher (1996–2001) and a teacher (since 2001); he proceeds at IISc as the seat of the division of natural science.
