The State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) is a public-sector company with operations throughout the country. SBBJ provides fixed deposits to all customers satisfying a minimum criteria.

Fixed Deposit Interest Rates :

SBBJ short term FD rates


The bank offers interest rates between 5.50% and 7.50% for deposits of less than 1 year tenor.

The highest interest rate of 7.50% is provided for tenors between 180 days and 364 days (6 months up to a year). Rates start from 5.50% for shortest slab of 7 days to 45 days, which increases by 1.25% to 6.75% for 45 days to 90 days tenor.

91 days to 179 days tenor FDs are also a good choice as a medium term product with 7% interest rate, compounded annually.

SBBJ medium and long term FD rates

A high interest rate of 8.50% is applicable on FDs of tenors between 1 and 5 years. It is once again a compounded rate with effective yield at the end of tenor quite higher than the 8.50% quoted in the product.


Eligibility Criteria:

Any individual who happens to be a citizen of India can apply to open a fixed deposit with State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur. Minors are also allowed to open fixed deposits which can be opened as joint accounts or individual accounts. N

RIs too can apply to open FDs under certain schemes offered by the bank. HUFs, private companies, public sector undertakings, proprietorship firms, societies, etc. can also open FDs with SBBJ.


Minimum Amount : The minimum amount that can be deposited in an FD with SBBJ depends on the scheme that you opt for. As such the least amount that you can use to open a fixed deposit is ₹ 1,000.
