State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) is a related bank of State Bank of India. Starting 2015, SBBJ had 1,360 branches, generally situated in the condition of Rajasthan, India.

Its branch system out of Rajasthan covers all the significant business focuses of India.

History

State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur appeared in 1963 when two banks, specifically, State Bank of Bikaner (set up in 1944) and State Bank of Jaipur (built up in 1943), were combined.

On 25 April 1966 SBBJ assumed control Govind Bank (Private) Ltd., Mathura, built up on 8 February 1963.

In 1984 SBBJ supported and built up Ganganagar Kshetriya Gramin Bank as a Regional Rural Bank. From that point, in 1985 SBBJ opened the Bikaner Kshetriya Gramin Bank, the second Regional Rural Bank supported by it.

The third Regional Rural Bank, supported by SBBJ was Marwar Gramin Bank, which secured the regions of Pali, Jalore and Sirohi. On 12 June 2006, SBBJ combined every one of the three provincial country banks that it supported under the name MGB Gramin Bank, with home office in Jodhpur.

75% of the shares of SBBJ are held by SBI and the staying by organizations and overall population. The Bank assumed control over the matter of the Govind Bank Pvt. Ltd, Mathura on 25th April, 1966. SBBJ opened up to the world in the year 1997-98 with an issue of 12.21 lakh shares of 100 each at a premium of 440/ - . SBBJ is the only public sector bank with headquarter in Rajasthan.

The quantity of branches expanded to 1049 ( 862 in Rajasthan) as on 30.09.2013. SBBJ had supported three Regional Rural Banks viz. Marwar Gramin Bank (set up in 1976), Sriganganagar Kshetriya Gramin Bank (1984) and Bikaner Kshetriya Gramin bank (1985). These were converged into single RRB viz. MGB Gramin Bank in June 2006
