The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is a statutory and autonomous body established under the Maharashtra Secondary Boards Act 1965

It came in existence on January 1, 1966 to regulate certain matters pertaining to secondary education in the state of Maharashtra, India.

The most prominent task of the board is to conduct the SSC and HSC examinations

As per notification, Maharashtra SSC (STD X) class examination will commence from March 2016.
The first Exam will be on 1St March and last will be on 29th March

The first subject of SSC examinations may be language. The examination will commence from 11:00 a.m to 02.00 p.m for first half and 03.00 P.M to 6.00 P.m for second half.
