Re: School of Biochemical Engineering IIT BHU

In perspective of the national significance of this profoundly interdisciplinary subject and the accessibility of all around created offices in Engineering and Biological Sciences inside the University, UGC set up this School as a part of the Institute of Technology amid the Fifth Five Year Plan. The fundamental targets of the school were to compose R&D exercises in the fields of Biochemical Engineering and to offer courses in different bureaus of the Institute. General M.Tech. courses were begun in the School with an admission of five understudies from the scholarly session 1986-1987.

Courses

The School offers IDD M Tech (5 yrs), M Tech (2 yrs), and Ph D courses. Some related territories of Biochemical are additionally being taught at B.Tech. furthermore, M.Tech. levels as elective subjects to the understudies of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Institute of Technology. The Faculty of the School has been effectively connected with the M.Sc. (Biotechnology) project of the University right since its beginning. They have been sharing around 1/third of the showing load in the last year of the M.Sc. (Biotechnology) understudies of the School of Biotechnology.

Affirmation

The admission to IDD M Tech course is made through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) directed by Indian Institutes Technology and to M Tech course through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) led by Indian Institutes Technology.
